He found one!
Erik has been searching long and hard and he finally came across this twin stroller! He was trying to find the one stroller that could fit all of our needs without having to buy 2 or 3 strollers! So, he found this double-decker stroller where the car seats can come out and its also a jogger. I don't think we are going to be making any hasty buys anytime soon, but what do you think?

Crazy Cat!

This cat will find a place to sit in any empty box or container! Look where I found him today while I was cleaning the kitchen!!

Soprano's Night at the Lowe's

Sunday means Soprano's so we headed over the Matt and Ashley Lowe's house for some dinner. Matt (originally from the Bahamas) treated us to some authentic Bahamian (is that spelled right?) food. He made us some "drunken chicken" and Bahamian mac and cheese! Now, being the paranoid pregnant lady, I was quick to ask him if there was any beer involved in making the "drunken chicken." I found out later that its just a way of cooking the chicken by propping it up in a beer can! Everything was delicious!

Long Nice Weekend....
The weekend started early for Erik and I! The weather was beautiful on Friday (Sunny 72 degrees!) so we decided to take a walk in the morning and when we came back, Erik found out he didn't have to work at all that day! He immediately jumped into our freezing cold pool to celebrate! After that, we enjoyed some lunch outside in our backyard and then went from some yummy Jamba juice!

On Saturday, Erik went skiing with some friends while I stayed home and went to the movies with our friend Ashley. We went to see "Failure to Launch." It was a nice way to spend the afternoon (especially because it was raining!) but overall a pretty dumb movie!! I spent the rest of the day baking cookies and cupcakes for our friend Alex, who is getting ready to be deployed to an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf. It was his birthday also, so when Erik came home we took him out to dinner to celebrate. He seemed pretty anxious about being sent away for 5 months to fly over Iraq and do God knows what! So, I baked him lots of chocolate chip cookies!!

Sunday was a big cleaning day around here! We finally set up our new dining room with the furniture that came in last week! It looks like a whole house now! I will take some pics tomorrow to show everyone!

Here it is! The twins first official picture, taken at GW hospital's emergency room, just hours before the wedding reception. It was a long 6 hour wait in the ER for this, but well worth it to know they were ok--and to find out we were having twins! I'll never forget the ultrasound technician turning to me and saying, "There are two!" as she pointed the screen towards Erik and I and we saw these two little amoebas moving all around! WOW! Erik seems to think they are boys since they were moving around so much...I dunno yet, but we will find out soon enough. They tell me at 20 weeks there should be another detailed ultrasound where we could possibly find out if they are little girl or boy Kenny's...until then, we can only guess...

Still more pics!

More pics from the dinner.

Here are some pictures from the "reception eve" dinner. I was already looking HUGE! Erik likes to say I look pregnant!

Here is my first official "bump" pic! This was taken last week, so that would make me about 13 weeks. What do you think? Gigantic, right?

Welcome to our blog!

So, I finally did it! I had been talking about making one for a few weeks now, so here we are! My cousins (SIssy and Bec) were my driving force behind making one, although I don't think I will be able to "blog" half as well as they do!

I had many reasons for starting one. First, Erik and I live on the other side of the world it seems than our friends and family. This makes it hard to keep in touch with everyone back home and let you all know how we are doing out here in the middle of nowhere! The other reason has to do with our most recent news: WE ARE HAVING TWINS!

I am sure by now that everyone knows that good news, but in case we haven't gotten around to telling you yet, we found out right around my birthday that I was pregnant, much to our surprise! And then the morning before our wedding reception in D.C., we found we were having twins! WOW! So, it made for a very fun party that night...

Since then, I have just been eating a lot, trying to exercise, and just growing and growing in my tummy area! I finally had a doctor's appointment over at the base hospital and he did another ultrasound and we saw the two little hearbeats! Crazy! I have another appointment next week and soon after that appointment, I will have the extensive ultrasound, where we could possibly find out what these two little babies are, boys or girl, or hopefully, one of each!

More later!
