San Francisco!
On Thursday, April 13, Corinne and I drove up to San Francisco to meet Leah and spend the night. We stopped at some wonderful outlets in a place called Gilroy (the Garlic capital of the U.S.) and then made our way through San Jose traffic to get into San Fran. Leah just moved to a new apartment in a new, fun neighborhood. We were getting ready to go to dinner and meet Joe when Leah had us walk up this incredibly steep hill to look over at the "painted ladies" (the picture of the houses from "Full House" above) I thought i wasn't going to make it up the hill, being pregnant and all...but Leah kept encouraging me to keep climbing, "the view is worth it." And it was! We had a delicious dinner in North Beach and Leah and Corinne then graciously let me have the bed to sleep on that night. Poor Leah had to drive around for almost an hour to find a parking space that night! Ohhh, to have a car in San Fran! Nightmare! I left Corinne with Leah the next morning and drove home to start cleaning for my parents who came that Saturday...I was busy!

More pics from our day at Sequoia. We went over a suspension bridge! A little scary...

Wednesday April 12
After Disney, Corinne and I drove home to Lemoore and she spent a few days with me and the kitty cat! We went to Fresno, made delicious dinners, and also spent a beautiful day up at Sequoia National Park.

Here we are in Mickey Mouse's house! Apparently Mickey was in the "backyard" greeting people, but the line was too long, so we just played around in his house!

More Disney!

We enjoyed many rides during our day at disneyland! Unfortunately, I couldn't go on most of the fun ones, but my nice friends indulged me and went on the "baby" rides, like the scary "Its a small world"! I about wanted to punch one of those little puppets in the face on that ride because the song was driving me crazy! Over and over with "Its a small world..." I am getting scary flashbacks just thinking of it! Other than that ride, we went on the Haunted Mansion, where Sissy and I rode together and shared some genuine shouts and screams together! Also, one about Peter Pan's flying adventure or something...We opted not to go on the teacups, the thought of getting sick wasn't how we wanted to end our day!

Disney!
Here we are, waiting in line for various rides. Since it was Sunday and the beginning of Spring Break, the place was packed! So we had to wait in line for a LONG time. So, we took pictures to pass the time.

Sunday, April 9
Here we are at Disneyland! Its good to have friends like Chris! He took us to Disneyland, where we became little kids again as we explored the park! We were all a little disappointed at the castle! No one remembered it looking that way! I guess we were all comparing it to the one in Orlando! This was my first time at any Disney.
Here, Sissy and I are enjoying the "jungle cruise" with all of the fake animals!

Saturday, April 8--Erik leaves to go to Key West. Although I was really sad to see him go away for 2 weeks, I was excited to have all my friends and family come and visit me!

Here are some of the pictures that actually came out from inside the aquarium. Erik and I truly felt like little kids running through all the exhibits and playing with all the things put out for children to play with! We got to see another one of my favorites--the penguins! It was so much fun to walk through and see everything and we definitely recommend it for anyone who comes out this way!

We ended the day by going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I was so excited to go, since I hadn't been to an aquarium in a LONG time. Probably since a field trip to the Baltimore aquarium in elementary school! It was an amzing place. I took lots of pictures of the sea turtles (my favorite!) but none of them came out! In these pics I am sitting underneath a wave!

Crissy Montage :)
Erik decided to snap away when I braved this rock by the surf. When I first went out to the rock, the waves were staying away and the water was nice and calm. Suddenly, a wave crashed into the rock (it really wasnt that big!) and my feet got soaked! The water was ICY cold and I was screaming! So, instead of helping me, Erik took pictures of it all! Hilarious. I have my pregnant 7 jeans on in this pic. I am about 14-15 weeks in this picture. How do I look?

These are from Sunday, when we stayed in Monterey. We made our way down to Cannery Row, which reminded me of an Ocean City/Rehoboth Beach boardwalk scene. It was very touristy, but at the same time, it was filled with many interesting things to look at. We had a wonderful brunch at a restaurant right above this beach and then we walked around, going in and out of the many shops along the street. I was being shy in the third picture! I am embarrassed by my fat face!!

Here we are at Roy's, a restaurant inside the resort that originally started in Hawaii. Many of our friends have been here before and it came highly recommended not only for its views but the delicious food. We told them it was our anniversary, so when the hostess seated us, she gave us these cheesy leis (is that how you spell it?) to wear. It also meant we got a table by the window! And a special desert! It was a wonderful meal and we really had a good time there! We told each other that whenever we have anymore visitors we would bring them here, so start making plans!!

After our walk along the golf course in Pebble Beach, we came up to the patio to sit by the fire pits and have a "drink." I had decaf cappacino (sp?) and Erik enjoyed a martini! It was a beautiful view as we watched the sunset over the ocean. When we finished our drinks we headed inside to Roy's for dinner.

On Saturday night, we went to Pebble Beach for dinner. Pebble Beach and the "17-mile drive" is in between Carmel and Monterey. Its a gated community and extremely ritzy. We had dinner at this resort called The Inn at Spanish Bay. It was a beautiful place that overlooked the golf course and we walked around before dinner, but it was getting windy and cold so we went back up to the patio where they had big fire pits to sit by.
