Our first family photo...hopefully there will be some more where I don't look so damn tired! (I might still be a little drugged up! Note the silly smile I have!!!) Erik looks good as a doctor!!!

More pictures of Sophie(white hat) and Lucy (yellow hat). Erik has perfected his "swaddle" and the girls LOVE it!!! They seem to realize that it means "go to sleep"...their eyes definitely get "heavy" when they are swaddled!!!

These are pictures of the babies seconds after they were born. The close-up picture is of Luica, while the other one is of Sophia. They are identical twins, so the close-up of Lucia gives a very good idea of what Sophia looks like. My mom says Sophia's face is a little wider, but it is difficult to tell.

Welcome to the world Lucia and Sophia!

Here are the first "official" pictures of our little darlings! Lucia Noelle came first at 1:23pm PT (she is in the yellow hat) followed NOT closely by Sophia Marie at 1:40pm PT. Lucia weighed 6pounds 1 ounce at birth and Sophia was 5 pounds 14 ounces. For those keeping track, yes, that was about 12 pounds of baby I was carrying around--ouch! We are all home now--came home on Saturday afternoon and everyone is doing well! We will put more pics on later, these are just the first of many!

Good-bye Kelly...

Last Friday, we had a little get together to say good-bye to Kelly..It was her last night in Lemoore before she drove up to Seattle to spend time with her familyt before moving to Japan...We were really sad to see her go...Joe and Kelly are such good friends to us and they will be missed...But, as they say in the Navy, we'll be sure to see them again sometime!

I tried to help hold the pieces as Erik drilled them into place, but my mom had to come in and lend a hand! We had a good time putting the room together and it got us all so excited for the babies to come!!

After getting all the painting done, Erik started to put together all of the furniture...I helped out by reading him the directions and handing him all the bolts and nails...there were only a few tiffs as we worked together...and when it was all done, we actually were able to fit TWO cribs in this room!! Unbelieveable...

The coming together of a nursery...

This past weekend, we worked hard on painting and putting together the girls' bedroom...Erik was the "expert" painter and did a great job turning that room into a pink paradise!! I don't know if he ever expected to paint a room as pink as the one he painted this weekend, but there he was, surrounded by pink girlie-ness!! I looked on was very helpful in pointing out all the spots he missed!!

Hello everyone! It has been awhile since I have "blogged" anything so I thought I would take today to try and catch up!! Since I last wrote, I am still on bedrest for at least 2-3 more weeks!! My mom is out here now helping us finish the move-in and get the babies' room ready...She has also been a wonderful companion as I sit here day after day, watching Days of Our Lives and doing Sudoku puzzles!! My brother Joe is coming out here from San Fran this weekend to help put together baby cribs and dressers and then my dad will be coming in the following week. Erik has been really, really busy with work. They have him flying everyday, sometimes twice a day, to get him up to speed with the rest of the guys in his squadron.

Soooooo, with that update, here comes the fun part: PICTURES! These are from a boat party that was held probably three weeks ago. It was out at a barn here in Lemoore that apparently is a place that can be rented out for parties? It was an interesting place, made more so by the guys having the party. They had beer pong tables, beer die tables (don't ask, its some pilot drinking game), a long slip and slide, among other fun party features. I was a little hesitant to attend, being as though I am HUGE and it was HOT, HOT, HOT! It was in the middle of our heat wave and I believe the temperature was still a steamy 90 degrees at 10pm! I just planted myself in front of the huge fan and the party just came to me!! Oh, and Erik continually supplied me with ice cold water!! We had a good time and as it turned out, it was my last party before the bedrest orders!!

Ohhhh, the one picture is of our friend Kip setting something on fire...apparently it was some kind of mascot??? I dunno...
