Little Surfer Girls....
Here we are in Santa Cruz, just south of San Francisco and a BIG surfer town....we came here on Sunday after the airshow to relax by the water and show Sophia and Lucia their first ocean...the Pacific...it was another beautiful day as we walked around this cliff and watched the surfers paddling away...

The Kenny Family's first trip to San Francisco....We went up there during fleet week for the big airshow...We had special "VIP" tickets to watch the show from a pier directly under where the Blue Angels performed...And even with all that noise our sweet little babies were in dreamland! They didn't even stir!! It was a good time and a beautiful day with perfect weather...We drove down with Matt and Ashley and met up with a guy from Erik's squadron "Dirk" and his family, Courtney and daughter Blakely...Joe also met us down there to watch the show...It was a pretty nice setup...with our tickets not only did we get special seats, but catered food and drinks all afternoon! There is a former Blue Angel in Erik's squadron that gave us the tickets...It was my first airshow and I was thoroughly (sp?) impressed!

Here we are at the top of Moro Rock in Sequoia National Park. We climbed up to the top of the rock which stands at about 6725 feet. Our actual climb was 300 vertical feet up very narrow and windy steps. It was all worth it when we reached the top and looked out over these beautiful mountains...Are we crazy??

The weekend that Sissy came, Joe also came...Our big outing was to this "chili cook-off" in Hanford...Now, we did arrive a little late, but by the time we got there, all the chili was gone...we did get to taste from one stand, but we were all a bit disappointed in the show! It was a strange mix of people and at one point the different "teams" put on a cheer competition reminicent of summer field hockey camp...this too was also strange...we tried to go to the famour dairy but it was packed...we did go later in the evening and enjoyed some delicious and fattening ice cream.
