Hanging out in their new floats!
(that is Jake, Michelle's husband, holding them together in the background...)

In the water....with baby life preservers!!

Memorial Day!

We spent the long hoiday weekend doing lots of summer things...our friends invited us to join them on their boat up at Millerton Lake, which is about 20 minutes past Fresno...we weren't sure what this all would be like...I sort of had an idea of Catoctin Mtn. lake for those of you familiar with thatpart of the world...well, it wasn't exactly like that...first off, we had to board the boat at one place to go out to a beach at another location...this beach was just built into the side of this hill/mountain where there were no bathrooms or any other convienince (sp???) Some other friends had gotten there earlier to "set up camp" and we sort of just hung out all day...i was really worried about the babies, but they loved it!! There were a few other babies there too and it actually ended up being a really nice time...

Hmmmmm...not only can they pull themselves up, they figured out how to move the "bumpo" seat wherever they want to make themselves even higher! What am I going to do!!!

Look, they play so nice...

Uh-oh...they can stand! This is the babies' latest trick! It can be a little scary, watching them pull themselves up on this gate...the problem is they don't know how to get back down so then comes the cries!

Here are some of the gang, posing for my pics...Courtney had her baby a couple of weeks ago, Baxter Hudson Harden...and Janelle is ready to go here anyday now, she is also having a little boy to add to the collection of babies...The other lady in the picture is Gretchen...the redhead in the boy picture is her husband...they have three girls which makes our squadron full of KIDS!!!

Our big night out! (at Reina's)
The squadron had a hail and farewell this past Thursday night at our local favorite Mexican restaurant, Reina's....we took the girls and we all had a good time...the margaritas were not as good as Erik's/Jennifer's, BUT we all enjoyed them just the same...The girls were wonderful! All they wanted to play with were those dirty chip baskets, so i just gave them a wipe with antibacterial and let them on their way....can't fight 'em!

Playing outside with Mommy....

(looks like i need to suck in a little bit more next time...)

Ready for their close-ups....

Waving to the camera...

All slicked down...

The babies' hair is in an extremely awkward state and I attempt to make it look normal by slicking it down with water and then pinning a bow so they don't look too much like a boy...It doesn't last long...as it dries it just springs back up into spikes...This is Sophie playing with her beloved frog...

Happy 9 Month Birthday!!!
Well, with 9 months comes many new and exciting things that the girls can do, namely MOVE around!!! So, for this milestone, we had to get a play yard gate thing!!! They were moving all over the place and going right up to things that we didn't want them to, the cat food, fly swatter, trashcan, etc....Soooo, inorder for me not to lose my sanity trying to catch babies that move in opposite directions we penned them in!! And so far, it has been great! (I don't think they realize they are being put into a semi jail!)

Happy Mother's Day!!!
Once again, Erik surprised me with a special picnic for my first "official" Mother's Day...he took all of us to a beautiful little park in Hanford and after feeding the babies their lunch, we enjoyed our picnic lunch on a gorgeous day! The girls were adorable!

A night out...
Before Elfi left we tried a dinner out with the girls at Vida's in Hanford...Well, they were actually really good, but got really tired and so Sophie ended up asleep in my arms while Lucy nodded off in the stroller! Poor baby, she had stroller marks on her little cheek!

In went the water and it was a hit with the girls!!! As usualy, Lucy sat back and thoughtfully watched as Sophie immediately started splashing away...after a bit, Lucy decided that this was fun and started splashing like a maniac! They loved the water and it was a perfect cooldown in this hot weather!
