Some of the amazing views in and around Yosemite Village...Some of these cliffs are supposed to have beautiful waterfalls, falling over them, but since it is the end of summer and there is no more water anywhere, there were no waterfalls to see! One of them had a little bit of water falling, but it evaporated as soon as it came over the side...that is how HOT is was!

Enjoying the sights with mom and dad...

Yosemite....

I am a bit behind on the blogging, so here are some highlights of our trip to Yosemite over Labor Day weekend...it was GORGEOUS! and not too far...just under three hours from Lemoore...it was sort of, really hot that day, so we all suffered some from the heat, but the trip definitely made us want to come back again! (when its not so hot!)

This is the "half-dome"...

Tasting some wine with our wine debit cards! So fun!

In front of the San Luis Mission...

Here they are, Mr. Moms! They found us Mommies, tasting wine no less, in downtown San Luis, with babies in tow!

A Trip to San Luis Obispo...
Jake and Michelle invited us to go over the hills to her mom's house in Atascadero, near San Luis for the weekend...Michelle and I had a girls' day on Saturday, while the daddies were left to take care of all the babies...they were able to pile everyone, car seats and all, into the car to come meet us for dinner...here are some pics of the ride back...apparently all babies were crying!! Michelle and I stayed in town for some extra shopping time!

Trying my hand at some skeet shooting...
I was AWFUL!

All lined up...

Change of Command party...

After the old skipper leaves, the new skipper throws a party to start off his command of the squadron...The skipper had his party at a ranch just up the road where the theme was "skeet shooting" To be honest, we were all a little skeptical before the party, wondering about the whole skeet shooting thing and babies, etc...BUT, the party was actually really nice, catered and a good time!

Nice little Navy family....

Change of Command....

When a skipper's time is up in a squadron, there is a big ceremony called a change of command in the hangar at the base and all the pilots have to wear their dress-up uniform...Soooo, that meant we broke out the sailor dresses again!

We had to get out of here pretty early, so I had some help from Katie, her friend Hayley and Cory...without them getting the girls dressed and keeping them occupied while I was upstairs getting dressed, we would have never made it out the door!!

Taking a swim in our "pool"!
With the extreme heat here this summer, the girls would get a little overheated on our morning run/walk so I would let them go "swimming" in my pool! They loved it and it was an instant cooldown!

Hanging out with Jennifer...

Playing catch-up...
Here are some pics from before the bday party that I just had to post cause there are some really cute ones!
Here are some with the hats my mom and I knitted last summer thinking they would fit when they came home from the hospital....hmmmm, they were a bit big then, but fit now!!! (Sophie is in pink, Lucy in yellow)
