Sophie and her bear

Sorry!!!
Its been awhile since I last posted and I am very sorry for the hiatus!
Elfi came out for a visit after Sissy left and we all promptly got SICK!
Lucy and SOphie took turns havingreally HIGH fevers--enoght to go over to the hospital's Urgent Care, TWICE in one week! Currently, we are dealing with SOphie's high temp that started this past weekend during a visit from my brother Joe. He was such a tropper and such a big help during her illness...he stayed and watched Lucy while I had to take Sophie tot he hospital on Sunday--We are a mess! Erik gets home on Friday and we can't wait to see him!
Here are a few pics from Elfi's visit. Despite being sick, we had agood time hanging out with Oma!!

Uncle Joe comes for a visit!!!

The planes go by so fast, its hard to catch them in the frame!

One of Erik's jobs on the ship (aside from flying the plane) is to be a LSO, which means a "landing officer" (i am not sure what the S stands for...) This basically means, when he is not flying, he is he guy standing at the end of the runway, talking on the radio to the other pilots as they are coming in for a landing, helping and guiding them safelyback on the boat's deck...before the squadron goes back out on the ship, while they are still here in Lemoore, they need to get ready and remember how to land back on the ship, so they have these exercises that they call "bouncing" where they just constantly land and take off again...Erik has to go stand out there in the "shack" and so usually it presents a good opportunity for any visitors to go see the planes land extremely up close and personally! My Dad loved it!

My Dad gets to go experience "bouncing"!
