Erik took this picture from his plane while they were flying over Wake Island...not sure where that is exactly...somewhere in the Pacific...

Here is the guy who Erik just helped land...(i think he is going to land??)

Pics from the boat!
There is a ship photographer and so from time to time, Erik will send me some pictures so I can see what life is like for them living on the ship...Here is one from the LSO platform which is at the end of the runway and one of Erik's jobs is to help planes come in for their landings...that is him on the radio talking to the pilot who is coming in to land...they let them know if they are too low or too high, etc...

SOphie didn't want to get her hands dirty with the cake, so she was putting her face down into the plate and eating her cupcake that way! Crazy girl...

Happy Birthday Jack!!!

Jack celebrated his first birthday a couple of weeks ago...Janelle had a great little birthday party for him and we all came out to sing him Happy Birthday! Fun!

Swimming lessons!!
The last two days of lessons, the mommies and daddies got to go in and watch them swim...it was so cutebeing able to see them go under water, kick their legs, and jump into the pool! I was totally amazed at how much they learned in such a short time!

Trying on Daddy's hats...
Lucy and Sophie found these hats of Erik's the other day and they got the biggest kick out of putting them on! Lucy is wearing Erik's desert hat that he is SUPPOSED to have with him on the shop...apparently they wear those when they are in the gulf...here i was thinking it was a play thing, and he is emailing me to send it to him RIGHT away! This was the last time we played with that hat!!

After swimming lessons!
Sophie and Lucy took swimming lessons for two weeks a couple of weeks ago...here are a few pics of them after all of the fun in the pool! They were very brave and went each day without ever crying! They loved getting into the pool and swimming with their teachers, Lauren and Brittany...it was so much fun to see my big girls going off to learn how to swim!

This is a shot of the ready room on the ship...its a lot bigger than this picture but this is where the guys email and where the BIG calendar that the wives make each month is...Each wife has a few calendar "squares" that we make using pics of the kids, home, and other things that gets put on the calendar to remind them of home...yes, that is Erik on the computer!!
