Janelle, Michelle, and Courtney....

The party planners...

(we are thinking of going into business...Missy and Crissy parties, what do you think??)

Courtney and Janelle's Shower...
Here are some pics from the fabulous baby shower that Michelle and I threw for Janelle and Courtney this past Sunday! (hahaha...tooting my own horn...) We had a TON of food and good company and hopefully everyone had a nice time...i did! There are the two lovely mothers-to-be, all decked out in their spring dresses, how cute!!!

Off to Jennifer's....

My friend Michelle and I hosted a baby shower this past Sunday for Courtney and Janelle...the party was at my house and my wonderful neighbor helped me with many things, including watching the babies for me during the party...Here they are in their new polo onesies, ready to go spend the afternoon across the street...they were good girls, although poor Jennifer had to hold Lucy while she slept (the whole teething thing has started and they are pretty cranky!) so her arm was ready to fall off! Jennifer is holding Sophie and Ashley is holding Lucy....

Sipping from sippy cups...

I captured this twin moment the other day while they were sipping away...

Happy St. Patrick's Day (a little late...)
Sorry, its taken me awhile to get these on...I just had to post them cause they looked too cute in their little logo tees from Old Navy! We spent our St. Patrick's Day on a shopping trip to Fresno with our lovely neighbors, Jennifer and her daughter Katie...We are lucky to have them...

Sippy Cups! Oh my!
Here I've captured the girls' first experience with a sippy cup! They took them right out of my hands!!! They haven't quite figured out how to tilt the cup to get more out, but they do like to play with them!! Now...if we could only get them to hold the bottle this way! Soon enough...

My girls...

We got all dressed up to go the exciting Fresno last week and they just looked too cute in their little Osh Kosh jean overall dresses that I HAD to take a picture! They are almost both smiling!!! (Please disregard the American flag blanket in the background...no, it is not an attempt to be patriotic, its there so Maverick the cat sleeps on it at night instead of getting cat hair all over the couch!)

Playing around...
This seems to be the girls' new favorite pastime--rolling around on the ground! I lay a blanket down and they roll all around on it! They are kind of trying to crawl...they haven't mastered getting their bodies in the air, but their arms and legs move all around...its adorable...I think the flash was bothering their eyes in the one picture....

My Erik...hard at work...
Here is a recent picture of Erik and another pilot on the ship, working...as you can maybe tell, he started to grow a mustache! He told me by now, its full-grown! Ewwww....

Ladies in red...
My mom and I got the girlies all dressed up to get their 6 month picture taken! Look at these pretty dresses from their Aunt Sarah! I of course took a million pictures when they were sitting there, i couldn't resist!! Dont' worry, the official 6 month picture will be posted just as soon as they are in!

Blakely, errrr Snow White.....

We got a visit from the one and only SNOW WHITE! Blakely, and her mom Courtney and Janelle came over last week for a good-bye dinner for Stella...

My garden....
When my mom was here she got me started on this little garden in front of our house...its not much, but it was fun to do with her and the babies watching!!!
The one of me "gardening" has my mom's finger in it!!! She had some trouble with the camera....
SOOOOOOO, in an effort to bring a little spring cheer to all my friends and family back east who are getting ready to battle yet another winter storm--here you are, sunny and 80 degrees in good ole' Lemoore! Come for a visit! (before it gets to be sunny and 100 degrees!!!)

My "lil Nittany Lion"!!!!

My future Nittany Lions got their first Penn State gear this past Thanksgiving, from Erin! They have been wearing their shirts frequently while I sing the fight song and play Blue Band music in the background! I am training them early to figure out the best school on Earth is of course....PENN STATE! (for selfish reasons, I just wanna have four years of season tickets to the games!!! hahaha)

Is that Lucy all wrapped up???

(My neighbor, Jennifer, helped bring Lucy home after a visit over at their house! It was a little chilly that night so we wrapped the girls up like little eskimos and I loved how Lucy was peering out from under this blanket!)

Isn't Lucy's face great! Especially with Sophia trying to eat her shoulder!! Ha!

(There you go Erik, I am finally in a picture!)

Sitting up! (well, almost...)
These pics are sort of dark cause of the sunlight behind them, but I wanted to try and catch some first pictures of the girls trying to sit up! They almost have it...they can keep their balance for about 30 seconds and then they fall over...because of this we do all sitting up practice on my bed! Sophia is trying like crazy to pull herself up--she does a modified sit up and can't pull herself up any further! Lucy has better balance right now and she is constantly rolling over! And when she gets on her tummy, her little legs and arms start moving like crazy....all she has to do is figure out how to get that butt in the air, and she will be off!! (oh dear!) Its so fun to watch them learn and figure things out!

Peas and Sweet Potatoes!
Its been awhile since I updated you all on the babies progress through baby foods! After the first week of carrots (which they slurped down with glee everytime it was dinner...) we had a week of peas (loved by Sophia, of course, but not so much by Lucia) and then a week of sweet potatoes (a BIG hit!)...we are about to finish with the sweet potatoes and start some green beans this week...so far the babies have been really good and I think they have this whole "solid" foods thing down! I have to say the baby food hasn't been too repugnant! The peas were kinda gross, but the sweet potatoes smelled pretty good! It inspired me to bake some sweet potatoes last night for Joe and I to have for dinner. Yes, Joe came out this weekend to visit and help with the babies...he just left--I was sad to see him go! We had a good time together...we went to Fresno yesterday and then to the Hanford Target this morning...He cut my grass (thank goodness!) and also helped me hang a shelf! I only wish San Francisco was a wee bit closer!

All I have to say about this picture is, what in the world was I thinking with that hat! Blossom comes to mind! Also, it brings back some scarring memories of maybe the worst sunburn I EVER had after buying my "furst" bikini with my auntie bubba supervising the purchase! (Mommy was away in Colombia that summer!)

Sissy and Anna coloring at the beach...I like this pic cause you can make out the pictures they are doing...I think Sissy may be working on some "worksheets"/"dittoes" from school? Maybe some summer reading work or something like the teachers used to give us??

Thanksgiving at the farm...this must have been the year of the leather pants? DIdn't Becky showcase a black pair? DOn't we have a pic of the two of you together with your leather pants?? We need to find that one!

Hmmmm, another day pass from St. Elizabeth's who got a little out of line?

Ha, another great one of Grandpop, who captured this moment? Laurel?

Weekend in Thurmont...

Hmmmmm, trying to figure out what you all were doing on this street? Was there a race? Or just a walk you all were taking???

Another classic grandpop....I totally needed to be photo-shopped out of this one! What WAS that argyle-like print GAP skirt I was wearing...I probably thought it was really "cool"...Although I do remember it being the morning after our senior prom that Sissy and I had to go to our siblings' graduations...I was a wee bit "under the weather" shall we say...I think in some other pics I looked as pale as a ghost! (All I remember was Sissy was mixing our drinks for us that night! HA!)

One of my all-time favorite pics...Joe, Leezie, Andres, Laurel and Rebeccah....not sure where this is? I love how Leezie is laughing and smiling at Joe...so sweet!
