Our first night in Catalina...
After we got off the boat and walked to our hotel (there are very few cars on the island and most people get around on golf carts or on foot), we went out for a nice dinner at Luau Larry's, this little bar/restaurant near our hotel. We walked around for a bit, it was a little chilly, but a nice night to be out...We also stopped for some ice cream at a place called "Big Olaf's"! The thing we noticed right away was the lack of any Starbucks or McDonald's anywhere on the island. The only big commercial names we recognized were a Best Western and Coldstone Creamery. It was very clear that the locals like to keep the town very quaint.
