While we were walking through the Giant Forest, we asked a park ranger about the tree you could drive through. I have had many people ask me about this tree whenever I mention that we live near Sequoia National Park. The park ranger told us that they tree we are thinking of was in Yosemite but was closed to the public or it fell down in 1960-something. She then told us how to get to the Sequoia tree in this park where you can drive through the trunk. So, we made our way over to this tree, on a very narrow and wind-y road. We also found that this was the road you could take to see Moro Rock, another highlight of this park.
