April 19--Big Sur
Big Sur is only a few miles up the road form Monterey, so on our second day, I decided to take my parents on a little drive to the ANdrew Molera state park. I came here once before with Leah and Corinne to go hiking and camping. Its a beautiful, yet scary drive along Highway 1/Pacific Coastal Highway. My mom was in the back seat doing the rosary! Its a two lane road that hugs the rocky cliff/mountains along the Pacific ocean. The views are spectacular, but there are some points where the road seems to give way into the ocean! We stopped at this state park and hiked a short trail out to the beach.
