This picture must have been taken shortly after their wedding. Gmommy's hat is the one she wore with her wedding dress. It was taken in the backyard of our grandparents' house in NE DC.

i love gmommy's dress and white shoes. she had such a good "figure"!
I think that was the famous white jacket that Dad wore at their wedding. The story was that he sent the suit to be cleaned, and when he went to pick it up, on the morning of the wedding (how's that for planning ahead?) there was a huge pile of white suits that Dad and his buddies had to sort through to find the right one. Is this what anyone else remembers, or is it just me?
